University Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN) offers various programmes to students such as undergraduate programmes, diploma programmes, foundation programmes and postgraduate programmes. Among all the courses offer in UNITEN, Engineering is the most popular course offered in UNITEN. It has the highest amount of students in UNITEN and some of the engineering courses are accredited by professional bodies such as Board of Engineers Malaysia and Institution of Engineers Malaysia, Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMeche) and Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) from United Kingdom. UNITEN is one of the university in Malaysia that offers Bachelor of Electrical Power Engineering (Hons.) besides Universiti Teknologi Malaysia and Curtin University Sarawak Malaysia. Graduates with a Bachelor of Electrical Power Engineering (Hons.) is able to work with Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) which is one of the largest electric utilities company in Malaysia.
